Carole A. Brunette, 70, of 222 S. Fifth Street, Marquette, passed away Monday evening, May 31, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Brunette was born on May 27, 1940 in Munising, a daughter of the late Richard and Irene Wartella. She was a graduate of Graveraet High School in Marquette and attended St. Louis the King Catholic Church.
Carole and her husband owned and operated Lil Richards Bar in Harvey for many years.
In her free time, Carole enjoyed Crocheting, picking blueberries, playing Bingo and visiting with the gals at Snowberry Heights. She was the ultimate Green Bay Packer fan.
She is survived by four children, Kenny (Stacey) Hurrell of Marquette, Susan Hurrell of Ormond Beach, FL, Louie (Sherry) Soeltner of Little Lake and Shellie Soeltner of Harvey; 10 grandchildren, Danny, Cassie, Alicia and Ashley, Brian, Kyle and Wyatt, Josh, Bryan and Terra; one great grandson, Mason. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Richard Brunette in 1980.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey with the Rev. Ben Paris officiating. Burial will take place in the Park Cemetery. Carole's family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
